Two seriously injured in Fife crash

Two people have sustained serious injuries in a car crash in Fife in the early hours of this morning.

At around 4.55am a white Volkswagen Up was in collision with a silver Vauxhall Corsa on the A92 north of Ladybank.

Both drivers suffered serious injuries and were taken to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee for treatment. The road has remained closed following the accident.

Sergeant Alastair Purvis, of Fife’s Road Policing Unit, said, “The A92 remains closed whilst the collision is investigated and the road is cleared and made safe for traffic again. Diversions are in place and I would like to thank motorists for their patience.

“I’m keen to hear from anyone who may have witnessed this collision or the manner of driving of either vehicle beforehand.”
