A Fife teenager has appeared in court for stealing a caravan from a travellers’ site.

Michael Gavin, from Dunfermline, was also caught driving when banned the next day and gave the police a false name.

Gavin (19), of Urquhart Crescent, appeared at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.

He admitted that on 22nd September at Heathery Wood, Thornton Road, Thornton, he stole a caravan.

He also admitted that on 23rd September at Heathery Wood, he took and drove away a vehicle without the owner’s consent.

He then drove on various roads in Fife including Halbeath Road, Dunfermline, while disqualified and without insurance.

Gavin further admitted he gave a false name to police officers in an attempt to pervert the course of justice.
