Youth (17) dies and three injured in Fife road tragedy

A 17-year-old youth has been killed in a car crash in Fife today.

At around 8.45am police were called to a one vehicle accident on the A915 Standing Stane Road near Kirkcaldy.

A male was pronounced dead at the scene while another two men aged 17 and 18 have been taken to the Royal Infirmary in Edinburgh, both in a critical condition.

Another 18-year-old male has been arrested and is receiving treatment for serious injuries at Ninewells Hospital in Dundee.

Anyone who saw a Black Vauxhall Corsa in the area around that time or anyone with any information about the incident is asked to contact police.
