Pair accused of robbing man of his car in Fife

 

Two men have appeared in court accused of robbing a man of a car in Crossgates when they were armed with a hammer and meat cleaver.

David Aird (46) and Lee Brown (30), both of Cowdenbeath, appeared in private at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.

It is alleged that on 22nd May at an address in Droverhall Avenue, Crossgates, they robbed a man of Toyota Aygo car, two mobile phones and a wallet containing bank cards and money.

They are both accused of being unlawfully in possession of a hammer at that location.

Aird is also accused of being in possession of a meat cleaver.

They face other charges including alleged road traffic offences.

They made no plea and both were remanded in custody.
