Terrified woman (80) robbed by masked gang in her Fife home
An 80-year-old woman was robbed by a masked gang who forced their way into her home in Gowkhall, near Dunfermline.
The terrified victim was a home at around midnight last Friday when the incident occurred.
Five men with their faces partially covered, forced entry and began searching the house before stealing a quantity of jewellery, including a gold Rolex watch.
They then left with their loot and the victim contacted police.
Detective Inspector Graham Fenton said, “This has been an absolutely terrifying ordeal for the elderly homeowner who is deeply upset and is being supported by our officers.
“I believe the local Gowkhall community will be outraged by what has happened here and I would urge local residents who remember seeing any suspicious to contact us immediately.
“In addition, anyone with any further information relating to this incident should also get in touch.”
