“Staggering”: driver was almost seven times over the limit
A Dunfermline man has admitted driving when almost seven times over the limit.
George Fleming (56) of Coulton Terrace, appeared in the dock at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.
He admitted that on 25th August in William Street, Dunfermline, he drove a car having consumed excess alcohol. His reading was 148 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The limit being 22 microgrammes.
Depute fiscal Alex Kirk said, “This reading is staggering.”
She made a motion for forfeiture of Fleming’s car.
Sheriff Charles MacNair called for reports and Fleming will be sentenced on 19th December.
