A 17-year-old youth has appeared in court for a vicious attack on a man in Rosyth.

The victim was severely injured after being chased by a group, having bottles thrown at him and was repeatedly punched and kicked after being knocked to the ground.

The teenager cannot be named for legal reasons.

At Dunfermline Sheriff Court, he admitted that on 30th November at Viking Way, Rosyth, whilst acting with others, he assaulted a man by pursuing him, throwing bottles at him, causing him to fall to the ground then repeatedly kicked him on the head and body and also struck him on the head with a bottle, all to his severe injury.
