Fife youth attacked pregnant girlfriend

 

A Dunfermline teenager has admitted attacking his pregnant girlfriend by kicking and punching her.

The vicious assault was carried out by Reigh Braidwood (19), of Shields Road, who appeared from custody at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.

He admitted a string of offences involving his partner and committed on 20th May at Ogilvie Street, Dundee.

He behaved in a threatening or abusive manner by shouting, swearing and repeatedly making abusive remarks towards Shannon Myers, his then partner, who was pregnant.

He then assaulted her by kicking her on the head and body.

He further assaulted her by throwing a remote control at her.

Braidwood also admitted that having been granted bail at Dunfermline Sheriff Court on 3rd August not to contact Shannon Myers, he breached this condition on 12th September by sending social media messages.

Braidwood is currently in custody in respect of other allegations.

Sheriff Charles MacNair called for reports and Braidwood will be sentenced on 6th February.
