Fife woman’s death not suspicious, say police

 

Police have confirmed that the death of a Dunfermline woman this week was not suspicious.

The woman, in her 60s, was found in the garden of her home in Izatt Avenue just after 8am on Monday morning.

Detective Inspector Paul Dick, of Fife Division’s CID, said, “We can now confirm that the death of a woman found seriously injured in Dunfermline is non-suspicious.

“The woman, aged in her sixties, was found injured in the garden of a property on Izatt Avenue shortly after 8am on Monday 25th September.

“She was taken to the Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy where she sadly passed away later that day and a full investigation was launched to establish the circumstances surrounding her injuries.

“Her family have been fully informed of this development and our thoughts remain with them at this difficult time. A report has been submitted to the procurator fiscal.”
