Fife teenager accused of sword attack

A Dunfermline youth has appeared in court accused of stabbing a male with a sword and hitting him with a crowbar. 

Darrin Reid (18), of Pittsburgh Road, appeared on petition at Dunfermline Sheriff Court today. 

It is alleged that on Wednesday at Pittsburgh Road he pursued the male, stabbed him on the leg with a sword and struck him on the head with a crossbar, all to his injury. 

Reid made no plea and was committed for further examination. He was released on bail.
