A Fife man has appeared in court charged with causing the death of a biker by careless driving last summer.

Zak Watson (pictured above), of Crossgates, was fatally injured in a collision with a van on the A907 at Bogside in July.

John Campbell (34) appeared in private on petition at Dunfermline Sheriff Court today.

He made no plea and the case was continued for further examination. He was released on bail.

The date of his next court appearance has still to be confirmed.

Zak (31) was president of the Blue Angels Fife motorcycle club and well known throughout the biker community. There was a huge turn-out of bikers for his funeral in Dunfermline.
