PASSENGER (22) DIES IN FIFE CRASH AND DRIVER FIGHTS FOR LIFE

A 22-year-old man has been killed in a crash in Fife and the driver is batting for his life in hospital.

The tragedy occurred at around 10.50pm last night on the B996 at the junction for the B9097 near Blairadam.

Emergency services were called to the scene after receiving reports of a collision involving a black Seat Leon car.

A 22-year-old male passenger was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver, a 21-year-old man, was rushed to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee. His condition has been described as life-threatening.

A second passenger, a 20-year-old man, was also raced to hospital with serious injuries.
