Hot weekend of Superbikes coming up at Knockhill

There’s an exciting weekend of racing coming up at Knockhill as the British Superbike Championship returns.

A large crowd is expected to enjoy top-class action in the sunshine and there was a host of great times posted in today’s practice session.

The championship frontrunner Leon Haslam (pictured) has been on brilliant form.

He is currently leading the competition with 165 points, 64 points clear of Bradley Ray.

This commanding lead is thanks to his five on the bounce winning spree, including the doubles at Oulton Park and Snetterton.

Leon Haslam, from Derbyshire, said earlier this week: “I’m just back from a couple of days of testing at Cadwell and Knockhill where I managed to get under the lap record at each circuit.

“I’m looking forward to Knockhill now, as we missed it last year due to injury but it’s one of my favourite circuits; the Kawasaki goes really well there.

“I’m feeling confident after the test and, following five on the bounce, we’re going in with our heads held high.”

Tickets are still available and can be bought on-line or at the gate throughout the weekend.
