Heroin dealer loses cash seized in raid

A Fife heroin dealer will be sentenced next month after he was found to have heroin worth £1000 in his home.

Dean McCaskill (30), now living in High Street, Kinross, admitted that on 12th May last year at his home in Keltyhill Avenue, Kelty, he was in possession of a controlled drug, diamorphine, with intent to supply.

Dunfermline Sheriff Court was told the quantity of heroin involved had a street value of £1000 and that £730 in cash had also been seized by police.

Depute fiscal Alisdair Shaw moved for forfeiture of the money and this was granted by Sheriff Craig McSherry.

He called for reports and McCaskill will be sentenced on 5th April.
