Cocaine worth £50k seized in Fife drugs raid
Police have seized cocaine worth £50,000 in a drugs raid in Dunfermline.
Officers arrested and charged a 25-year-old man and a 22-year-old woman following the recovery of controlled drugs and an imitation firearm.
The pair were detained following the execution of a warrant at an address in Clunie Road on Saturday.
Officers recovered a quantity of cocaine with an approximate value of £50,000 and cannabis resin worth around £515. An imitation firearm was also seized along with other drug paraphernalia.
The man and woman, both from Dunfermline, appeared on petition at the town’s sheriff court yesterday.
Stewart Smith (25) and Laura McArthur (22) both face charges under the Misuse of Drugs Act, the Firearms Act and the Criminal Law (Consolidation) (Scotland) Act.
Both made no plea, were committed for further examination and granted bail.
