Fife homes are broken into and cars stolen

 

Two vehicles have been stolen in similar incidents in Glenrothes after homes were broken into and car keys taken.

The first incident happened overnight between 15th and 16th June at Kerrera Place, with a grey Vauxhall Mokka stolen.

The second theft happened on the evening of Sunday 25th June at Elm Lane, where a blue BMW M3 was stolen.

Both vehicles were stolen after the keys were taken from the owners’ homes.

The Mokka was recovered after being set alight in Stirling Avenue, Dundee, at 4.30 am on 24th June.

Police found the BMW in Fair Place, Inverkeithing, at 12.45 am on 26th June.

Sergeant Chris Mutter, of Glenrothes police station, said, “I am urging members of the public to call police should they see people acting suspiciously around vehicles or have any information in relation to these crimes.”
