New appeal over “despicable” knifepoint robbery

Police have given more details of a “despicable” armed robbery at the home of a 76-year-old Crossford woman.

The incident happened around 11pm on Friday in Lundin Road.

The victim was approached by a man with a knife outside her home, who forced her back into the property and then stole a number of personal items, including jewellery and a number of cameras.

He is described as being 5ft 8ins tall with a slim build, short fair to medium-coloured hair and spoke with a foreign accent.

Anyone with information is asked to come forward.

Detective Inspector Kelly McEwan, from Dunfermline CID, said, “This is a despicable robbery of an elderly woman, which left her very shaken and distressed.

“Anyone who remembers seeing any suspicious activity around Lundin Road on Friday evening or in the days beforehand should contact police immediately.”
