Fife shop worker caught in £2k gift card scam

 

 

A worker at a Dunfermline store helped himself to over £2000-worth of gift cards and spent them.  

The offending took place over a ten-month period.

Joshua Flower represented himself when he appeared at Dunfermline Sheriff Court. 

Flower (20), of Garvock Hill, Dunfermline, admitted that on various occasions between 1st December 2017 and 26th September 2018, at Currys, Halbeath Retail Park, he embezzled a quantity of gift cards to the value of £2103.64, spent them and obtained goods in exchange. 

Sheriff Alison McKay called for reports and Flower will be sentenced on 13th November.
