Body found in Kirkcaldy is identified

The body of an elderly man found on the shore at Kirkcaldy this afternoon has now been identified by police.

The body was found on the shoreline of the Esplanade, opposite the old Kirkcaldy swimming pool, at 1.25pm.

He has now been identified as a 91-year-old Fife man and his immediate next of kin have been informed.

Enquiries are currently ongoing but the circumstances are not believed to be suspicious.
