Big Country to top bill at Aberdour Festival
Big Country are to headline a top-class line-up at this year’s Aberdour Festival.
The event runs from 27th July to 5th August and festival chair, “There is something for all ages and interests.”
Fife rock legends Big Country will be playing the Festival Marquee on Friday 3rd August and is set to be a sell-out.
Headlining the Comedy Night on Sunday 29th July is Simon Evans and award-winning crime writer, Chris Brookmyre (below) is coming to the Festival Marquee on Tuesday 31st July at 5pm.
It promises to an entertaining evening and he appears to mark the paperback publication of Places in the Darkness which he describes as a crime novel set in space.
Events kick off on Friday 27th July at the Festival Marquee on Hawkcraig Road with the Young Person’s Battle of the Bands.
To celebrate the Year of Young People, Aberdour’s answer to Brian May, Owen Braid, is collaborating with Fife’s finest young musicians.

- Murder Mystery at the Festival Marquee. Produced by the Aberdour Players in conjunction with Fife Opera. At the Festival Marquee and Tented Village at Silver Sands Playing Fields there will be a showcase of the finest products from Fife and Scotland.
- Other highlights will be the crowning of the Village King & Queen, the annual pet show, the raft race, donkey brae, beach day and the sandcastle competition.
