“I’ll come for a quickie”: Fife man’s note to stranger
A Dunfermline man put a sexually offensive written note through the door of a woman he had seen walking in his area.
The woman was a stranger but that did not stop Andrew Wemyss (36), of Mercer Place.
He went to her door and put a handwritten note through her letter-box.
It stated, “Seen you a few times. Just wanted to s*** you. I’ll come for a quickie LOL.”
Depute fiscal Alistair McDermid said the woman was in her bed when Wemyss had gone to her home. She heard a male’s voice saying, “It’s Andy.”
Wemyss appeared at Dunfermline Sheriff Court and admitted that on 6th April he behaved in a threatening or abusive manner by placing a handwritten note through the door.
Defence solicitor Roshni Joshi said her client was a first offender. “He’s entirely embarrassed to find himself in court,” she added.
“He was heavily under the influence of alcohol and doesn’t have a great recollection of it. He accepts he has to face the music.”
Sheriff Derek Reekie called for reports and Wemyss will be sentenced on 28th March.
