CHARITY SHOP PERV PREYED ON YOUNG BOY

A 73-year-old Salvation Army charity shop volunteer cornered a teenage schoolboy and demanded to know the size of his penis.
William Fraser, from Lauder Street, Dunfermline, also asked the shocked 14-year-old about his sexual activity.
Fraser, a long-time volunteer with the Salvation Army, was put on the sex offenders register when he appeared at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.
He admitted that on 9th November last year at the Salvation Army shop, High Street, Dunfermline, he engaged a boy then aged 14 years in a sexualised conversation, asked him sexualised questions and enquired about his sexual history.
Depute fiscal Azrah Yousaf said Fraser had worked as a volunteer for the Salvation Army for 16 years.
The boy had recently started volunteering at the shop and was doing a 2-5pm shift on the day of the incident.
Fraser had returned to the shop after collecting donations in a van and these were being unloaded.
The boy had asked to finish his shift early to go a fireworks display.
Fraser suddenly started making sexual remarks to the boy, asking about his penis size.
Fraser said his own penis was “tiny” and asked the question again to the boy, who just said he was leaving the shop to catch a bus.
However, Fraser continued asking the same question and the boy answered that he did not know what size it was as he had not measured it.
Fraser then said, “Oh, it’s quite big” and asked if the boy had “ever had a d*** up him”, said the depute.
The boy left the shop and a week later asked his aunt about what would constitute sexual harassment at work with their discussion leading to the police being contacted.
When interviewed by officers, Fraser said, “He told me he was gay. I asked what age he was and he said he was 14. I said he was far too young.
“I said ‘There’s no way I’d have sex with you’.”
Asked why he thought that would be an acceptable conversation to have with the youngster, Fraser said it was because the boy said he was gay.
He also claimed he had asked about the size of the boy’s penis “to give him a confidence booster”.
Sheriff Krista Johnston called for reports and put Fraser on the sex offenders register. He will be sentenced on 30th April.
